Our History
Where it all started
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – Mount Zion Parish, Regina is one of the parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a worldwide church commissioned by the Holy Spirit through a great man of God Pastor Josiah Akindayomi in Lagos, Nigeria in 1952. Ever since, the church has continued to grow in leaps and bounds with thousands of parishes worldwide, under the visionary leadership of Pastor E.A Adeboye, the current general overseer.
The foundation of our church is laid on Jesus Christ our chief corner stone and the word of life. We believe in the doctrines of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we emphasize the importance of holiness and faith as the key ingredients to having a successful Christian life. We teach the unbridled word of God without fear and we strive to help people discover their God-given destiny and develop their potential to the maximum to the glory of the most high God.
The RCCG, Mount Zion Parish, Regina, Saskatchewan, was incorporated in May 2008 as a non-profit organization in Regina, Province of Saskatchewan and it is a registered Canadian charitable organization recognized by the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). We are a part of the world wide family of the Redeemed Christian church that has parishes in many countries and all the continents of the world. We are a growing church. Our membership cuts across different nationalities and all age groups.
Our Vision
VISION/MISSION STATEMENT
The vision statement of The Redeemed Christian Church of God as received by the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God worldwide and communicated to its headquarters and every church in the denomination are as follows:
- To make heaven.
- To take as many people with us as possible.
- To have a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in every family of all nations.
- To accomplish no. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
- To accomplish no. 2 and 3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within 10 minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.
Our Mission
The vision of RCCG Mount Zion Parish, Regina SK is:
- To be known as congregation of people who worship and praise God more than anyone else;
- To give ourselves to the study of the words of God and to connect deeply to the revelation of the word;
- To demonstrate the words of God through practical Christian living of life dedicated to love, prayer, and care for individuals and communities;
- To dedicate our entire life to winning of souls unto the kingdom of God.
