MOUNT ZION MENTORING PROGRAM

Preamble

This program is inspired by and anchored on the biblical mentorship that Paul provided for Timothy who, in turn, had a successful ministry. This is confirmed by the scriptures that “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17), Paul’s admonition to Timothy that “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2), and  his charge to the Thessalonians “So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us” (1 Thessalonians 2:8). This is completed by the wisdom of Solomon that ” He that walketh with wise [men] shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed” (Proverbs 13:20) as well as the wise words of Winston Churchill that “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”
