REHOBOTH

REHOBOTH
May the grace of the almighty God abound unto you always. With great joy and immeasurable thanksgiving to the almighty God I welcome you to the month of September. I pray that you will enjoy boundless fruitfulness this month and beyond in Jesus name. The theme for this month is REHOBOTH. The bible says “ And he removed from thence, and dug another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now, the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land” (Genesis 26:22). This is divine enlargement in practice and a testimony of God’s goodness in the life of Isaac. There are many lessons to learn from Isaac regarding circumstances surrounding this scripture. First, there is obedience to divine direction. When there was famine in the land, Isaac wanted to go to Egypt for help but God asked him to stay and he obeyed. Here Isaac was not moved by the situation surrounding him but by the divine commandment of God. Second, Isaac was not complacent relying only on the promise of God without doing his own part hence “Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him” (Genesis 26:12). Third, Isaac did not allow obstruction from enemies to stop him from being focused and accessing his divine blessings. Hence, when they obstructed him at Esek, he went to Sitnah and when the enemies continued to strive with him Isaac left Sitnah to dig another well where strife ceased and called it Rehoboth where God made room for him and his servants. Rehoboth is illustrative in many ways and it is an experience that every human being would long to have. It represents divine settlement, a place of rest where contention and strife come to an end. It is a place where previous enemies become friends. It is a place where fruitless efforts come to an end. It is a place of divine justification. It is a place of celebration and glory manifestation. It is a place of freshness and inexhaustible divine blessings. It is a place of comfort and breakthrough. It is a place of deliverance and a place of enlargement. It is a place of abundant opportunities. As God has declared this month our Rehoboth, we will access the blessings connected to it in Jesus name. I declare an end to all contending forces in your areas of your life and you will swim in the abundance of God’s blessings in Jesus name.
