The Ancient of Days

Congratulations as you make it to the eight month of this year. God is ever faithful and I heartily welcome you to this month in which God has promised to do something extraordinary and spectacular in all areas of our lives. The theme for this month is THE ANCIENT OF DAYS and our anchor scripture is Daniel 7:9-10, which says “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened”. Who is this ancient of days? God, the eternal, the Almighty, the powerful, the merciful, the gracious, the loving, the just, the righteous, the dependable, the reliable, the incomprehensible, and the loving. He is a God who never disappoints, full of capacity and ability, who sees the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end, who is never tired or wearied, who never sleeps nor slumber while His majesty is unquestionable. The good thing about this God is that all these attributes and contained in Him in one fell swoop. Why is He the only ancient of days? God is so described because the phrase itself literally means a very aged (old) man and this represents vast experiences beyond anyone.

So when God is called the ancient of days it connotes many positive things. First, He is older than all the situations that are confronting you at present. He was there before the situations started and He knew the circumstances that surround the advent of the situations hence he knows how to tackle them. Second, He has the necessary wisdom and strategies to take care of all situations without manipulations from human beings. Third, being the ancient of days, God will outlive all the days, months, years and centuries and whatever exists therein. He outlives time and seasons as well as situations.

He can cause you to do the same as long as you are connected to Him. The good news here is that you will outlive all circumstances that surround you now in Jesus name. In the same breath, is there anyone terrorising you in any way, the ancient of days will cause to survive and outlive that person in Jesus name. Does it have to do with debt issue or health issue or marital issue or spiritual stagnancy or academic issue or immigration issue or family issue? Be rest assured that as soon as the ancient of days is involved you will outlive all of them and you will sing a dominion song of victory in Jesus name.

Further things to note about the ancient of days while going through our anchor scripture is that He is an impartial judge who judges all and sundry. Also, purity and righteousness are intrinsically connected to Him. He sees everything you do both in your closet and the open. He is omnipresent whose eyes run to and fro the earth. So you must fire up your life of purity and righteousness at all times to please Him and you must always run away from doing evil so as to escape His judgement. You must be particular about offering constant praise to Him while you must be willing to tarry before Him in the place of studying the word and fervent prayer. In essence, there is a need for you to make a conscious and deliberate effort to know this ancient of days more and you be blessed for it. The ancient of days is in existence before the beginning of this month and will also see the end of this month. So is your portion in Jesus name. Have a blessed month ahead.
