MOUNT ZION

Welcome to the month of November with blessings, joy and extraordinary accomplishment in Jesus name. Our theme for this month is MOUNT ZION. God is more than ever loving to give us this theme which is prophetic, assuring and reviving. Our anchor scripture for the month is “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions” (Obadaiah 1:17).

Mount Zion means “mountain fortress.” A fortress is a secured place where battles and wars are won. So, when God says there shall be deliverance on Mount Zion, it is line with what the name stands for.  This is also corroborated by another scripture which says “And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call” (Joel 2:32). For you, it is truly a month of deliverance from spiritual dryness, evil manipulation, wickedness of the wicked, barrenness, failure, sickness, disease, debt and all bad things.

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions

Mount Zion is a place where you cannot be dispossessed of what belongs to you. Even all hidden treasures of yours will be made manifest to you. In fact, there will be restoration of lost possession.  Furthermore, the bible says “they that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever” (Psalm 125:1). This is reassuring in the sense that even though the wicked ones always want to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10) this can never be accomplished in your life because you are connected to Mount Zion which cannot be removed. No power can remove you from the hands of God, no power can remove you from the list of the favoured people, the list of successful people, the list of divine abundance, the list of victorious people, the list of breakthrough experience and the list of all things that pertain to life and godliness. Mount Zion is also a place where God commands blessings that are eternal. The bible says “as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life forevermore” (Psalm 133:3).

Mount Zion is a dwelling place of God hence the bible says “but ye are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect” (Hebrews 12:22-23). In simple term, Mount Zion represents the presence of God. To access all the blessings that abound in Mount Zion, you must cultivate and sustain a life of holiness. It is a place where holiness is never compromised, all unholy acts are distasteful to Mount Zion while you don’t condone others who are living unholy.

As you journey through this month and beyond, may you experience divine deliverance, possess all your possessions and access grace to keep yourself above sin in Jesus name. You are a blessing.
