DIVINE ESCAPE

DIVINE ESCAPE

Praise God, we are starting the second quarter of the year with good health, sound mind, and lots of testimonies of God’s faithfulness in the first quarter. His mercies were there for us at all times and nothing could dim His glory upon us and the church of God. Even when the enemy came like a flood the spirit of God raised a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). To this end, I heartily congratulate you on the successful completion of the first quarter of this year. As you start the second quarter in this year of moving from glory to glory, the glory of this quarter will be greater than the first quarter in Jesus’ name.

Saul and David were now on opposite sides of a mountain. Just as Saul and his men began to close in on David and his men, an urgent message reached Saul that the Philistines were raiding Israel again. So Saul quit chasing David and returned to fight the Philistines. Ever since that time, the place where David was camped has been called the Rock of Escape

I Samuel 23:26-28 NLT

The theme for this month is DIVINE ESCAPE. Our anchor scripture is I Samuel 23:26-28 NLT, which says “Saul and David were now on opposite sides of a mountain. Just as Saul and his men began to close in on David and his men, an urgent message reached Saul that the Philistines were raiding Israel again. So Saul quit chasing David and returned to fight the Philistines. Ever since that time, the place where David was camped has been called the Rock of Escape”. With spiritual insight into this scripture one could see that when God is with you, it is impossible to fall into the traps set for you by the enemy. It also illustrates the fact that when you are on the Lord’s side, you would always escape from all evils either hatched in the spiritual realm or physical realm. The escape is also going to be total without any injuries.

Furthermore, this escape experience will also cascade to all those who are connected to you. This was the experience of David. He escaped being captured and killed by King Saul. He escaped miraculously along with all those people with him. Even though King Saul had all weapons of war, all intelligence reports and many army battalions, which its fraction alone could swallow David and those with him yet God used His own intelligence report and tactics to save David and his people from destruction. What God did for David is available to all of us today even in a greater dimension.

Divinely, God can make you escape from death, debt, failure, bad health, calamity, failure, accident, diseases and plagues, evil plots against you, and chaos. This is not for you alone but for many that belong to your household and those connected to you. There are many examples to justify this in the bible. The widow of Zarephath was divinely saved from debt, shame, poverty, loss and emptiness within 24 hours. God divinely made Mordecai and the Jews escape from destruction and death at the hands of Haman. Daniel divinely escaped from the lion’s den while the three Hebrew brothers divinely escaped from the burning fiery furnace.

Much as these examples are great, we are to remember that the greatest divine escape is us escaping from the wrath of hellfire with the salvation of our soul which was divinely orchestrated by God himself through His son, Jesus Christ. We should not take this for granted. We need to maintain our undiluted relationship with God, live holy and righteous at all times, obey Him fully always and be mindful of how to please Him in all circumstances and at all seasons. Remember that His everlasting mercy is with you always and nothing can stop you or stand in your way. You are a blessing. Happy new month.
