The Selfless Friend

A story is told of a woman who had kidney issues and needed an urgent transplant. The government decided to help pay the medical bills for the procedure. Then came the big question of who from her family will donate the required kidney since most of them were her match. Surprisingly, none of her family members agreed to donate a kidney to save her life after professing so much love to her.

Jesus Christ is the only Selfless Friend who greatly loves us to the extent of offering His own Life to redeem us from our sins and the consequent eternal damnation in hell. John 15:13 says it all – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Isn’t this an amazing display of great love?

All you need to do is to accept the price Jesus Christ selflessly paid by believing that He died for you and accept Him into your life as your Lord and Saviour to have eternal life (John 3:15 – 16).

Say this prayer genuinely from your heart… “Lord Jesus, I accept You today into my heart as my Lord and Saviour, please forgive my sins, wash me in Your Blood, show up for me as my Selfless Friend as I call upon You and deliver me from the challenges of life by the Power of your Holy Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen”.
