Blessed Hope

Blessed Hope

I am highly delighted to welcome you to the month of October, the tenth and another glorious month of the year 2021. It has been amazing to have witnessed great divine exploits on all fronts in the just concluded month of September. God proved Himself faithful again in the lives of our members and the church as a whole. The month of September was full of great, unimaginable, powerful and pleasant testimonies. Indeed, RCCG Mount Zion Parish Regina SK and her entire members have a special place in the heart of the Lord. My prayer is that we will continue to dwell under the shadow of the Almighty all the days of our lives in the mighty name of Jesus.

The theme for this month is BLESSED HOPE. Our anchor scripture is “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:11-13). The crux of this month’s message is that Jesus Christ is the hope for all believers either in this world or the kingdom of God.

We are now living in a world where all the signs of the end time are prevalent. Wars, conflicts, divisions, poverty, various forms of diseases and tension in every aspect of the world system are daily occurrences. The poor are becoming more vulnerable day by day, the average is living in tentacles while the rich are also having a high sense of insecurity. Motivational speaking is also giving temporary succour while the so-called spiritual leaders are failing their followers in showing them the way to Jesus Christ. Instead, they resort to worldly values as new standards for measuring a successful Christian. The results of these are more depression, suicide, drug addiction, criminal activities and loss of hope even among Christians. Arising from the above, looking for hope in any other person or system is going in the wrong direction. Jesus Christ remains the only genuine hope, the hope that is blessed. Our anchor scripture states clearly that the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all. This grace of salvation is Jesus Christ.

Another aspect of our anchor scripture advises us to turn away from worldly lusts and ungodliness while we live righteously, soberly and godly looking for the blessed hope, who is Jesus Christ. The question you should ask yourself is how close are you to Jesus Christ. Do not deceive yourself to think because you are a genuine born-again Christian hence you have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. You may even be a minister of the gospel and pastor with many spiritual titles yet not closer to Jesus Christ. You may accept Jesus Christ as your saviour but not your lord in the real sense of the matter because He is not the one in charge of your life.

Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ is the only genuine king who can deliver you from all troubles of the world. He is the blessed hope for the hopeless, the prince of peace who has the government of the whole world upon His shoulder. His promise never fails and He is the only one who cannot disappoint you. He will give you genuine blessings that are undiluted. He is the only hope to keep you alive, the only sure way to heaven, He is available as your guide, guard, support, help, provider and sustainer at all times. If you are not firmly connected to Jesus Christ, I beseech you to do today. If you are already a genuine child of God please remain steadfast and unwavering in your relation with Him. Number 10 is double-digit, God will bless you with double honour in this month with His mercy in Jesus’ name. Have a blessed month ahead.
