The Reliable Friend

The Reliable Friend

Do you feel condemned by people around you because of what you have done in the past or in recent times? Well, certain confidants may forsake you but The Reliable Friend, Jesus Christ, will not judge and forsake you if you call on Him for help!

You can count on Jesus Christ always! In Luke 19:1-10, Zacchaeus, a tax collector, known and condemned as a cheat in the process of tax collection (his job) heard of Jesus Christ and made effort to see Him by climbing a tree because he was obstructed by the tall crowd before him. Jesus Christ saw Zacchaeus on the tree, spoke kindly to him, and became his guest – his bad past notwithstanding. Zacchaeus acknowledged his sin and repented of his bad past when he met Jesus Christ and also restituted.

According to Psalm 51:17, the LORD will not reject a broken and repentant heart, and Jesus Christ said in Luke 5:32; “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” In Mathew 11:28, Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” It doesn’t matter what you may have done, Jesus Christ is asking you to come to Him today for help and salvation!

Just like Zacchaeus, if you heed His call for friendship today, He will forgive all your sins (1 John 1:9) and give you a fresh start of righteousness and greatness in life. Please say this prayer genuinely from your heart in response to His call… “Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your Love for me by dying to save my soul from eternal destruction. I accept You today into my heart as my Lord and Saviour, please forgive my sins, wash me in Your Blood, restore me to righteousness and fill me with Your Holy Spirit so I can shine Your light and affect my world positively from this time forward in Jesus Name, Amen!”

Congratulations, Jesus Christ is now your Reliable Friend; you can trust Him and call on Him whenever you need Him!
